I love May Day. The whole point is to give some flowers to those you care about--anonymously. Personally, I love love love being on the receiving end of a bouquet. I cry every time. Every. Time.
Ironically enough, I never participate in the holiday. Not because I don't want to. I always make a list in my mind of who I would deliver them to, what kind of flowers I would use, the tags...but I can only conclude that my procrastination coupled with my irrational anxiety about door-to-door delivering (I know, don't ask) out weighs my good intentions.
I did, however, grow up in a neighborhood with a sweet lady who never failed to deliver her bouquets to a few special people on May Day. Kristi was thoughtful and put forth so much effort into the little things that count in life. I want to be just like her when I grow up. Her simple works have left an impression.
So, here is a virtual bouquet. It's the best I could do (until I get that ridiculous anxiety in check). Pretend you found it hanging on your doorknob today.
Happy May Day!
You are so clever and talented. YOu amaze me Lindsee!! Love this post! !
